I May Be Late Waking Up. . .

. . .but I took my Red Pill a long time ago. I was 16, and I remember seeing the trailer for The Matrix and hearing Morpheus say "Unfortunately, no one can be told what the Matrix is. You have to see it for yourself." That alone was enough to asure I had a seat to that movie. I had never had such an odd feeling going into a film. It was weird to know the film was going to change my life before the credits even opened, but I did, and it did. And as I left, I knew for a fact it had become my favorite film.

My love for cinema exponentially increased, and never had I seen a single movie more times on the big screen. From there, I seen everything different. Not just movies, but every facet of my life was segmented into layers and exposed for observation. It changed my way at looking at anything, and inspired my creativity in a way I can never fully explain. There aren't enough wikis for it.

I will say though that The Matrix Series holds the top spot on my favorite films. Yeah, I count it all as One. It's been a long time since 1999, but I still catch effects in my daily life from what occurred. I can't imagine my life had I never seen these films. I can only hope to one day fumble my way through some words that resemble a coherent thank you to The Wachowskis for doing what they did and continue to do through the medium of film.
