Law Enforcement (police officers, security guards, and federal agents) are a force of bluepill humans in the Matrix, and one of the enemies of the redpills. They will guard specific locations in the Matrix, and will also assist the Agents. They are described by Morpheus (along with S.W.A.T. teams and Military Soldiers) as people so dependent on the Matrix that "they will fight to protect it".

They prevented, detected, and investigated crimes, apprehended suspects, and provided emergency assistance.
